Bihar AI Summit 2026, held at the Urja Auditorium in Patna on May 23-24, emerged as a key platform highlighting the state’s growing ambitions in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven innovation and digital transformation across multiple sectors. The summit brought together policymakers, technology experts, entrepreneurs, academicians, researchers, students, startups, and innovators to deliberate on the expanding role of AI and emerging technologies in shaping the future of governance, healthcare, education, agriculture, finance, transportation, MSMEs, and entrepreneurship.
The event focused on positioning Bihar as an emerging hub for AI-led innovation by promoting awareness, adoption, and responsible implementation of advanced technologies. The summit featured keynote addresses, panel discussions on AI policy and ethics, startup showcases, live demonstrations of AI applications, and networking sessions involving industry leaders and government representatives.
Speakers at the summit underlined Bihar’s strong potential to emerge as a centre for AI innovation and digital entrepreneurship, driven by its large and youthful population. They noted that the future growth of AI would depend not only on technological advancements but also on inclusive and locally relevant innovation models capable of addressing grassroots challenges.A major focus of the discussions remained on the development of vernacular AI solutions in Hindi, Bhojpuri, and Maithili to improve accessibility and ensure wider adoption of technology at the grassroots level. Experts stressed that region-specific AI tools could significantly improve service delivery and digital inclusion across rural and semi-urban areas.Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, speaking on the sidelines of Bihar AI Summit 2026, said, “AI is the future and has even more capability here because our youth population is so large, the median age is 25 to 27 years. So there is potential for AI.”
