Amitabh Bachchan injured during Project K shoot, returns to Mumbai home

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he injured himself on the Hyderabad set of his upcoming film "Project K" while filming an action sequence and he is recovering at his home in Mumbai.In a post on his personal blog, the 80-year-old actor said his "rib cartilage popped broke" and there is a "muscle tear to the right rib cage". Before flying back to Mumbai, Bachchan said the doctor at a Hyderabad-based hospital, where he underwent a CT scan, advised him to rest. In his blog, the actor also mentioned that the film's shooting had to be cancelled as it will take him weeks to recover from the injury. Amitabh Bachchan also underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad before flowing back home. Doctors have advised him rest as of now.

Project K is a fantasy drama that features Prabhas in a new avatar. The C Ashwini Dutt-backed movie stars Deepika Padukone as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with the Baabubali star. Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan plays a key role in the biggie. Project K is expected to hit the screens in 2024. Ashwini Dutt earlier said that the film was a 'about the modern-day avatar of Vishnu.' Reportedly, it is set in a futuristic world.
