Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always given priority to the development of the North-East Region and in these 8 years has given a new image to the region. Shah said this after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various infrastructure projects worth Rs.1180 crore in Arunachal Pradesh during a public meeting at Namsai on Sunday. Shah said that earlier the North-east Region was known for disputes and insurgency, but today under the leadership of Pririme Minister Narendra Modi the region is known for its tourism, development, good infrastructure and its diverse culture. He said today there is 89 percent decrease in insurgency related incidents in the whole region. Nome` minister Sha also visited the Golden Pagoda Temple in Namsai.
