'Ahmedabad Experience Centre' boosts sports diplomacy for 2030 CWG

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Wednesday announced that an 'Ahmedabad Experience Centre' will be set up in Glasgow to showcase the city's culture, sporting infrastructure and hospitality as India prepares to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games.The centre, which will be inaugurated on July 30 and remain open until August 2, is aimed at introducing international sports federations, athletes and officials to Ahmedabad, the host city for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Addressing the media,Sanghavi said Gujarat's delegation has been participating in daily training sessions in Glasgow to study the operational standards, logistics and best practices involved in organising a major multi-sport event."We are going to host such a big sporting event in Ahmedabad in 2030. Every international federation has its own rules and standards, and our team is learning them on the ground," he said.

The delegation is also studying athlete accommodation, venue operations and other aspects of Games management."Our team is participating in training sessions every day from 7 am to 9 am to understand the expectations when thousands of athletes come to Ahmedabad. Alongside this, we have developed the Ahmedabad Experience Centre, which will be inaugurated tomorrow evening," Sanghavi said.
Sanghavi said the experience centre would provide international visitors with a glimpse of Ahmedabad's heritage, infrastructure and world-class sports facilities while offering authentic cuisine from different parts of India."The sports federations and athletes from across the world will be our guests. The centre is an opportunity to showcase Ahmedabad's culture, infrastructure and the facilities developed in Gujarat and India," he said.Describing the initiative as an important step in sports diplomacy, Sanghavi said the centre would strengthen India's engagement with the global sporting community."It is a unique effort in sports diplomacy. Through the Ahmedabad Experience Centre, we are trying to connect the world with India through Ahmedabad," he said.
The four-day event will also host interaction sessions with representatives of international sports federations and athletes from participating countries, providing a platform to promote Ahmedabad's readiness to host one of the world's biggest multi-sport events in 2030.
