A tribute to the singer and composer Bhupinder Singh

Born in Amritsar on Feb 6, 1940 and passed away in Mumbai on July 18, 2022.
His moody and melancholic voice  some of the finest gazals and nazms in Hindi films during 1970s and 80s will continue to live in our memories. He had printed his stamp with his unique vocal style. 
His singing genius was not restricted to film music, as he and his wife Mitali formed a gazal team in the 1980s. 
_'Kabhi kisi ko mukammal jahan nahi milta'_ a song from Aahista Aahista, Bhupinder Singh sung this song very well, with nicely composed music by Khayyam. Lyrics are beautifully penned by Nida Fazli.
He also made a mark as a guitarist playing on hits like "dum maaro dum" in the film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, "chingari koi bhadke" Amar Prem etc films.Bhupinder also sang for All India Radio and Doordarshan besides learning guitar and violin.
