US President Donald Trump said Sunday that Israel would be destroyed “within minutes” if Iran obtained a nuclear weapon, warning the world would be in danger. He added that previous US administrations should have acted earlier to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This is why we can never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon," he said during an interview with Fox News.
He said previous U.S. presidents had failed to act on the issue for 47 years. "Nobody moved a muscle on this. It fell to us to take this on. We are going to come out of this with a big victory," he said, adding he believed the war would end "very soon." Trump acknowledged the opacity of Iran's internal decision-making structure. "Iranian leaders are very strange, sometimes you never know who you're dealing with. Some of the people we're currently talking to on Iran are very reasonable, some are not. I hope Iran will act wisely," he said.
Trump said Iran’s oil infrastructure could “explode” within three days if disruptions continue, describing a scenario in which blocked oil flows would trigger pressure buildup in pipelines and underground systems. "If oil cannot be transported, it continues to build up “mechanically and in the earth,” which could lead to a rupture or explosion that would permanently damage the system, he said.
