58 Pak soldiers killed in retaliatory Op. TTPs are Pakistani: Taliban

At least 58 Pakistani soldiers and nine Afghan soldiers were killed overnight after security forces of the two countries clashed along their shared border. Afghanistan said that the overnight border operations were in response to what it called repeated violations of its territory and airspace by Pakistan. Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that operations against Pakistan were halted on Saturday midnight after Saudi Arabia and Qatar intervened. In New Delhi Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Sunday said, “There is no presence of TTP in Afghanistan now. Even prior to our return to Kabul, the Pakistan military carried out operations in tribal areas that led to the displacement of a large number of people."  The US military and the US-supported government gave refuge to them on Afghan soil. They are Pakistani people from displaced areas and are allowed to live in the country as refugees, he claimed. "This fight is inside Pakistan. Instead of blaming us, they should control the issues in their territory." he suggested.

Speaking at a press conference in Kabul, Mujahid added that defending the country’s airspace and territory is Afghanistan’s legitimate right and that no attack will go unanswered. He added that  that during the retaliatory operations carried out across the hypothetical Durand Line, several weapons were also seized.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has closed the Torkham crossing on Sunday to passengers, transit traffic, and refugees in response to the retaliatory operations carried out by the Islamic Emirate’s forces against Pakistani troops. Currently, hundreds of passengers, dozens of cargo trucks, and patients are stranded on both sides of the Torkham crossing and are facing serious difficulties.
