4 terrorists killed in an encounter at Jammu toll plaza

In an encounter security forces  gunned down four terrorists on Thursday morning at the Ban toll plaza in Jammu’s Nagrota. The gunfight was  still on when report last came in even after several hours while the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed by the security forces. A soldier has suffered injuries on his neck during the encounter. His condition is now stable. As the security forces laid a naka near the Ban toll plaza, during the checking of vehicles, a group of terrorists opened fire on the forces. The terrorists fled towards the forest area and soon the encounter began at 5 am.

A group of terrorists on board a truck were on their way to Kashmir valley on Thursday morning. Acting on a specific input, the security forces intercepted the truck near Ban toll plaza on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Nagrota area. The terrorists hiding in the truck opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated and the encounter broke out. So far, there has been no official word on the total number of terrorists who were inside the truck. A huge cache of arms and explosives has also been recovered from the truck.
