Bangladesh on Wednesday beat India by Five runs in the second One-Day International at Sher-e Bangla National Stadium,Dhaka to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in three-match series. Chasing a victory target of 272 runs India were India made 266 for 9 in 50 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma tried valiantly at the end ,walking out half fit launching into an array of shots, but he fell one big shot away from taking India across the line. Earlier, Rohit Sharma suffered a blow to thumb while fielding in the slips.
We fought hard till the end, but it was Bangladesh who won the 2nd ODI by 5 runs and clinch the series 2-0.

In the earlier stages of the game Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel hit fifties to put India in a strong position in the chase of 272. However, both were dismissed in quick succession, putting Bangladesh back in control. Iyer was dismissed on 82 by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, before Ebadot Hossain got the better of Axar (56). Earlier Bangladesh made 271 for 7 in stipulated 50 overs.For Bangladesh Mehidy Hasan Miraz made an unbeaten 100 in 83 balls while Mahmudullah scored 77 in 96 balls.The two batter added 148 runs to rescue Bangladesh from a tricky position as Bangladesh were 69 for six at that stage.
