26 Addl Secretaries appointed

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments 25 IAS officers and one IDAS officer as Additional Secretaries. These officers belong to 1990 to 1993 batches. Accordingly=

Sanjay Malhotra, lAS (RJ:90), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power as Chairman and Managing Director, REC Ltd. ii. Vijoy Kumar Singh, lAS (PB:90), Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Textiles iii. Atul Kumar Tiwari, lAS (KN:90), Additional Secretary, as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship  iv. Kailash Chand Gupta, lAS (MP:92),  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. v. Chandra Sekhar Kumar, lAS (OR:92),  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. vi. Vineet Joshi, lAS (MN:92), Director General, National Testing Agency, Ministry of Education as Additional Secretary, The officer will continue to hold the charge of Director General, National Testing Agency. vii. Hukum Singh Meena, lAS (BH:92) as Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources. viii. V. L. Kantha Rao, lAS (MP:92), as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence. ix. Sanjay Jaju, lAS (TG:92), Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production. x. Manohar Agnani, lAS (MP:93),  Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. xi. Vivek Kumar Dewangen, lAS (MN:93),  as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, xii. Ms. Neerja Sekhar, lAS (HY:93), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, xiii. Vishvajit Sahay, IDAS (90), presently in the Cadre, as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Science & Technology. The officer will also hold the charge of Financial Advisor, Department of Biotechnology and Ministry of Earth Sciences.

2. The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of the13 more officers to the level of Additional Secretary.
