'Ketamine Queen' Jasveen Sangha accused in Matthew Perry's death

The arrest of Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the "Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles", in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry has unveiled a life of luxury funded by a deadly drug empire. Ms Sangha, 41, a dual British and American citizen, is at the centre of a federal investigation, accused of supplying the ketamine that led to Perry's death on October 28 last year. She is among five people charged over Perry's death.Jasveen is said to have made her North Hollywood home a 'drug-selling emporium', with prosecutors saying she 'only deal[s] with high-end celebs'. She has been connected to Perry's death at his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, due to her alleged distribution of ketamine on October 24.
Sangha pleaded not guilty to nine charges against her on Thursday, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution of ketamine resulting in death. Wearing a Nirvana jumper for her court appearance, her bail request was denied by US officials and she will remain in custody until her trial in October. The 'Ketamine Queen' was considered a flight risk by the judge due to her wealthy family and her dual UK and US nationality.
Prosecutors describe Ms Sangha as a "celebrity drug dealer" who catered to high-profile clients, priding herself on offering "high-quality goods." Her Hollywood residence allegedly served as the hub of a vast operation dealing in methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, and her speciality, ketamine. A raid on her home in March uncovered a staggering 79 bottles of liquid ketamine, nearly 2,000 methamphetamine pills, and other illegal substances.Sangha's operation, which reportedly dates back to at least June 2019, was lucrative enough to fund an opulent lifestyle that few could imagine. She frequently jetted off to exotic locations, including Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, Japan, France, Dubai, and Antigua, often showing a "blithe indifference" to the fact that the ketamine she distributed was deadly, prosecutors have said, The accused could be set to face further charges, with authorities connecting her to another drug overdose death in 2019. One of Cody McLaury's relatives is said to have texted her saying: "The ketamine you sold my brother killed him. It's listed as the cause of death."
