India stormed to the final of the 2023 World Cup after a crushing win over New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. India's 10th successive win of the tournament was highlighted by Virat Kohli's 50th ODI hundred, Shreyas Iyer's second consecutive hundred and Mohammed Shami's third five-wicket within a span of three weeks. The Rohit Sharma-led side is just one win away from ending a 10-year drought for an ICC trophy. Shami took 7/57 as India bowled New Zealand out for 327 while defending a total of 397.The highlight of the New Zealand innings was a 181-run partnership between Kane williamson (69) and Daryl Mitchell (134).

Earlier Rohit, as is his wont, went after the bowling straightaway, and almost killed the contest in the first hour of play at the Wankhede Stadium, his dazzling array of stokes leaving the Kiwis bruised and battered.

Going for one too many, Rohit fell for a 29-ball 47 but Gill took over from there and continued to torment the Kiwis with his repertoire of strokes.
