Congress has said that India is witnessing the onset of 'lawless law' engineered by the BJP and the RSS. In a statement President Mallikarjun Kharge said the Constitution Day occasion should have been a proud day, but for the BJP and the RSS, there is never-ending infringement on fundamental rights. The government has completely surrendered itself and its institutions to the diktats of the RSS, an organisation that pushes hateful propaganda under the garb of social service," Kharge said.
Today, our constitution faces a fundamental crisis. RSS has used the BJP as a political vehicle on every opportunity to curtail freedoms, enshrined in the Constitution. Let's reignite the fire to safeguard our constitutional morality.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said the RSS was opposed to the Constitution of India.
The draft Constitution was adopted by Constituent Assembly on 26.11.1949. Constituent Assembly decided it would come into force from 26.01.1950 which is since celebrated as Republic Day. Ideological fountainheads of BJP had nothing whatsoever to do in making the Constitution 1/3

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar made one of the greatest speeches of the twentieth century on 25.11.1949 while piloting the final draft of the Constitution. It’s a speech worth reading over and over again. I wish to remind the PM & his drum beaters of just 2 paras from that speech, Jairam Ramesh said.
