Australia has lifted the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup defeating England in the final by 71 runs at Hagley Oval in Christchurch in New Zealand.. Chasing the target of 357, England Women were all out for 285 in 43.4 overs. Earlier, Put into bat first by England, Australia posted 356 for 5 in 50 overs. This is the record for the seventh time Australia women have won the world cup.

For England, even an unbeaten 148 by Natalie Sciver could not save the defeat to Australia. Jess Jonassen and Alana King took three wickets each for Australia. Alyssa Healy was declared Player of the Match and also the Player of the tournament.England captain Heather Knight put Australia into bat, noting her side had bowled "outstandingly well" at Hagley Oval, but Australian openers Perry and Rachael Haynes were not listening. England made a determined effort to stay within reach of the required run rate, but were hampered by wickets falling at regular intervals.
