Amit Shah addressed poll rallies in Gujarat, calls for PM Modi's 3rd term

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the people of India will vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the third time straight in a row. "Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to win over 400 seats in Lok Sabha elections 2024."We will win all 26 seats in Gujarat. People are not in support of I.N.D.I.A bloc as they are not active anywhere," he added.Shah addressed election rallies in Rajkot, Porbandar, Bharuch and Panchmahal.Shah said, the BJP government will implement the Uniform Civil Code once it returns to power. He said, BJP government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has freed India from terrorism.Shah said the BJP government is committed to the development of all sections of society including poor and marginalised people. Addressing a rally in Bharuch, Shah said, BJP government has not only increased the budgetary outlay for tribal people in the country but also enhanced the education, and health facilities for them. He also ensured people that the BJP government would not take away the fundamental rights of tribals. 

All 26 parliamentary seats in Gujarat will go to the polls in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 7 (Tuesday). BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed in Surat after the nomination papers of the two Congress party's candidate Nilesh Kumbhani and Suresh Padsala were rejected, as his three proposers claimed in an affidavit to the district election officer that they had not signed his nomination form.The third phase will include constituencies from Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Bardoli, Navsari, and Valsad.
