The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four persons, including two senior officers of RDSO. According to official statement Ashutosh Kumar Dy. Director and Deepak Kumar,Sr. Section Engineer of Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO), Lucknow and two representatives of a private company-Shashank Agrawal and Swarup Kumar Rai were arrested in a bribery case. The agency registered the instant case on Tuesday, September, 15 against said persons and arrested them same day. It is said that both RDSO officers in conspiracy with the private persons, had obtained undue advantage from a Kolkata based private company in lieu of issuance of favourable plant and machinery inspection report of factory of the Private Company.The CBI laid a trap and caught officers and private persons from a hotel situated at Howrah while accepting Rs.4 Lakh as illegal gratification from the representatives of the private company. Besides the bribe amount of Rs. 4 lakh, another cash amount of Rs. 4.73 Lakh was recovered and seized. Searches in the residential and office premises of the accused persons are being conducted at multiple locations in Kolkata, Lucknow and Bihar. Incriminating documents and digital evidence have been recovered and seized.
The CBI also arrested Chief Health Inspector, Bhojudih, Adra Division, S.E. Railway, Distt- Bokaro, in a bribery case. According to CBI, Chandra Shekhar Gupta, Chief Health Inspector, was allegedly demanding undue advantage of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant for sanction of medical leave. The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while accepting undue advantage of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant on Tuesday.
