Raja Raghuvanshi murder: Wife Sonam caught, lover arrested

The Meghalaya Police has claimed that it has solved the mysterious murder case related to Indore businessman.. The Meghalaya Police on Monday announced that the wife of murdered Raja Raghuvanshi, who had 'gone missing' since May 23 in Shillong, surrendered herself, a week after her husband's body was found deep inside a gorge in the Cherrapunji area. Sonam Raghuvansi, 24, is the prime suspect in Raja Raghuvanshi's murder, Meghalaya Police said. 
Sonam Raghuvanshi was found at a dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road and was taken into custody, according to the police. The primary investigation revealed it to be an alleged case of contract killing, as the woman was having an affair with a man who is also among those arrested. Indore’s additional deputy police commissioner Rajesh Dandotiya said Raj Kushwaha, Sonam was in a relationship with, planned the murder on May 18 after the couple got married seven days earlier. Kushwaha allegedly hired Vishal Chauhan, Anand Kumar, and Akash Rajput to kill Raja Raghuvanshi.Dandotiya said that Sonam, who was traced to Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, supported the plan and shared their location with the three assassins. He added that a Meghalaya Police team arrived in Indore on Sunday and arrested Kushwaha and Chauhan. Kumar was arrested in Sagar while Rajput remained on the run.
As per media report, the dhaba owner Sahil Yadav, from where the UP Police found Sonam, said she appeared mentally disturbed and revealed that her brother had asked him to alert the police. He claimed Sonam stayed at the eatery for about two hours and told him her husband had been killed in a robbery in Meghalaya. "She asked for my phone to call her family, and I gave it to her. She started crying while speaking to them. I took the phone from her and informed her family about her location. She didn’t seem mentally stable. A little later, her brother called back and requested me to inform the local police," said Sahil Yadav.
Raghuvanshi and his wife went missing while vacationing in Sohra area in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district on May 23. His body was found in a gorge on June 2, while an extensive search for his wife was underway.Investigators said Kushwaha worked at a tiles distribution company of Sonam’s brother. They added that the Meghalaya Police tracked the accused using the call details of Sonam, who was in regular touch with Kushwaha.Raja Raghuvanshi’s brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, said Sonam was part of the murder, as she and her brother, Govind, were in touch with Kushwaha, who worked in his office.
Sonam’s father, Devi Singh, expressed disbelief over his daughter’s alleged involvement in the murder. claimed his daughter was "100 per cent innocent" and demanded a CBI probe into the matter. A relative of deceased local transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi also said they cannot believe his wife Sonam was behind his murder, but if she is proved guilty, she should be given the harshest punishment.
Sonam and Raja, a newlywed couple from Indore, embarked on a dreamy honeymoon trip to Meghalaya in May, but their romantic getaway took a dark turn when Raja’s body was discovered in a gorge, while Sonam was believed to be missing.
