Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan flagged off a special Bike Rally with Members of Parliament as part of Har Ghar Tiranga 2026, organised by the Ministry of Culture, commemorating the 150th anniversary of our National Song, ‘Vande Mataram’ in New Delhi on Wednesday on August 12,2026. Addressing the gathering, Radhakrishnan said that the spirit of Vande Mataram had inspired India’s freedom struggle and continues to strengthen the nation’s identity today. He recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters, including Veer Savarkar, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Tirupur Kumaran, saying their courage kept the spirit of Vande Mataram alive. Radhakrishnan also highlighted the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as a people’s movement that encourages citizens to actively participate, hoist the tricolour with pride, and strengthen the spirit of unity and service. He urged people to actively participate and promote the campaign. On the occasion, Union Ministers including Kiren Rijiju, Dr Jitendra Singh, Gajendra Singh Sekhawat, Dr Virendra Kumar, G Kishan Reddy and Rajiv Ranjan Singh were also present.
