A trivia about Manoj Kumar: He has not touched any heroine’s body physically in any love scene in any film which he directed.
He wanted to keep the image of ‘Bharat’ his character intact in his films as he claims !!
Amitabh Bachchan as a true professional did a very small role (only 3 small scenes and his character dies too) as he had committed to Manoj Kumar before the release of Zanzeer.
That is the level of super discipline and very high level of commitment of Amitabh Bachchan, which is keeping him as number one actor even at the age of 80 !! 
Hats off to Amitabh !!
Zeenat Aman’s first successful film as heroine. 
Navin Nischal refused the second hero's role. Shashi Kapoor did that so beautifully.
