Actress Sanjana Galrani gets bail

Accused Kannada film actress in drug case Sanjana Galrani granted conditional bail from Karnataka High Court  on Friday after 85 days of jail. Based on the medical report of Vanivilas Hospital her lawyer argued before the court that she needs a surgery. She has to give a bond of 2 lakh along with 2 securities. She has to present before the police twice in a month. Another condition is that she shall cooperate with the investigating. agencies whenever required. Another actress Ragini Dwivedi is still in jail as the Supreme Court is yet to hear her case.  Sanjjanaa Galarani was arrested on September 8 in the drugs probe case.
The court had ordered medical tests by a government hospital and based on the report, she was granted bail. Yet in another development, 4 others accused in drug peddling case also got bail  on Friday. Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani were arrested for allegedly procuring and consuming drugs at parties. They have been charged under various sections in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.
