The Bangaluru police has detained actor Shakti Kapoor's son, Siddhanth, for allegedly taking drugs during a party at a city hotel. He is among the 6 people allegedly found to have consumed drugs, Bengaluru Police told the new agency. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the party at the Park Hotel and sent samples of around 35 guests for medical tests. Five guests tested positive for drugs and Siddhanth Kapoor was one of them, officials said. Siddhanth Kapoor was invited as a DJ at the party. They have all been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act," said Bheemashankar S Guled, District General of Police, East Division.
According to police, the rave party was on at a posh hotel on the MG Road on Sunday night when a police team raided the place and arrested them. The actor has featured in films like Shootout At Wadala, Haseena Parkar, Jazbaa and crime-thriller web series Bhaukaal. Earlier, Siddhanth's sister Shraddha Kapoor was questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in 2020 in connection with allegations of a Bollywood-drugs nexus after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Shakti Kapoor was quoted by reports as saying: "It's not possible". I am not aware of anything, he said.
