Aamir Khan, team accused of littering Ladakh village during film shoot

Actor Aamir Khan has been accused by a local resident of Ladakh of littering the place of his shooting in the Union territory. Khan and his team were shooting in a village for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chadha. Khan and his team have denied the allegations.

The team of Laal Singh Chaddha was shooting in a village in Ladakh and according to reports, left the place full of trash. Aamir Khan issued a statement on the issue denying such allegations and said "we make sure that when we leave a location we leave it as clean, or cleaner than we found it."

The statement realeased by AKP read: "To whomsoever it may concern: AKP (Aamir Khan Productions) would like to clarify that as a company we follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around our shooting spaces. We have a team which makes sure that the location is kept trash-free at all times. At the end of the day there is a re-check of the entire location. At the end of the entire schedule, we make sure that when we leave a location we leave it as clean, or cleaner than we found it.

Meanwhile, the tweet which went viral leaving Aamir Khan in trouble was “This is the gift Bollywood star Amir Khan’s upcoming movie Lal Singh Chaddha has left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh. Amir Khan himself talks big about environmental cleanliness at Satyamev Jayate but this is what happens when it comes to himself".

A video posted in the same tweet shows used plastic water bottles scattered all around, and claims that Khan's team left without cleaning the area.

Laal Singh Chaddha features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, and is a remake of Tom Hanks-starrer "Forrest Gump" which won six Oscars.
