Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday presented a budget which highlighted the government's focus to bring the economy battered by Covid-19 back on track.
The budget was divided in two parts - with focus on almost all the sectors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a "transparent budget" and said it has been presented in "unprecedented circumstances". "Today's Budget shows India's confidence and will instil self-confidence in the world. The Budget has the vision of self-reliance and features every section of the society," PM Modi said.
