42 Indians feared dead in bus accident in Madinah

At least 45 people are feared to have died after a bus carrying Umrah pilgrims collided with a diesel tanker near Medina. Around 42 of those who died were Indian nationals, according to local media in Saudi Arabia. Our officials are also in close contact with Saudi Arabian authorities.”
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy took immediate note of the tragic incident and directed Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy to urgently gather comprehensive details. Responding to preliminary inputs indicating that residents of Hyderabad may be among those affected, the Chief Minister instructed top officials to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Saudi Embassy to ensure that necessary relief measures are initiated without delay.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said he contacted two Hyderabad-based travel agencies and shared passengers’ details with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh to assist in identification and support efforts.

A control room has been established at the Telangana Secretariat to monitor developments, facilitate relief coordination, and provide real-time information to families of the pilgrims. The control room can be reached at +91 79979 59754 and +91 99129 19545.
