Eminent Advocate late Fali Nariman talks about the meaning and implication of the word 'judicial rectitude'. It is a time honoured principle. A judge is not personally interested in any case. Fali Nariman refers to the issue relating to Justice Jasti Chelameswar of the Supreme Court going public. Governments in power simply rejoice and attempt to set in whenever there is dissension amongst the judges. Maj Gen Nilendra Kumar took his interview in which Fali explained the fall out of ADM Jabalpur judgment.
Fali Nariman (1929-2024) was a senior Advocate and renowned jurist. Awarded a Padma Bhushan (1991) and Padma Vibhushan (2007), he was an Additional Solicitor General of India from May 1972- June 1975. He was one of India's most distinguished constitutional lawyers.
