PM Modi says India committed to discrimination-free education

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India’s youth are emerging as the driving force behind the country’s progress, crediting them for achievements across sectors ranging from manufacturing and the economy to space exploration.Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Viveka Smaraka, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre, in Karnataka's Mysuru, Modi  said that India is committed to discrimination-free education and equal opportunities for all citizens, including the poor and marginalised. PM Modi said that the great spiritual leader considered equality just as crucial as education for the nation's upliftment.

According to Modi, more than 14,000 PM SHRI schools have been developed across the country with the aim of ensuring that education goes beyond textbooks and fosters innovation and scientific temperament among children. To support this objective, over 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs have also been established. He also noted that the number of medical colleges in the country has increased to 823. Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that this is a great state. India has to grow with Karnataka, and Karnataka will be with you. Let us work together and make this country proud.
