MP outlines 'Investment Ready Industrial Infrastructure' at NICDIT meet

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday presented the state's vision for industrial development, investment opportunities, industrial corridors and modern industrial infrastructure at the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) in New Delhi.Highlighting the state's industrial roadmap, Yadav outlined the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh, the incentives being offered to industries and the industrial projects being implemented through close coordination between the Centre and the state government,according rm agency reports.He said the government was focused on creating an investor-friendly ecosystem and developing modern, world-class and investment-ready industrial infrastructure to accelerate industrial growth, attract fresh investments and generate employment.

The meeting was chaired by Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who heads the Apex Monitoring Authority. Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Suman K. Bery also attended the meeting.Chief ministers, industry ministers and senior officials from several states presented their respective strategies for industrial development and investment promotion.
11 Industrial Parks Proposed Under BHAVYA Scheme
Madhya Pradesh has submitted proposals for 11 industrial parks under Phase I, Round I of the Centre's Bharat Industrial Development Scheme (BHAVYA). The proposed projects will cover 9,047.08 acres and involve a total Detailed Project Report (DPR) cost of Rs 8,144.35 crore.According to the state government, the industrial parks will be developed with plug-and-play infrastructure to attract investments and create new employment opportunities. The projects have been strategically distributed across different regions of the state to ensure balanced industrial development.The proposed projects include the Avantika Industrial Centre in Ujjain, Bhensola in Dhar, Piplarawan-Palikalan in Dewas-Shajapur, IR Ratlam-Palsodi, the Ashta Industrial Cluster in Sehore, Maswasi Grant in Sagar, Chainpura in Guna, Mohna in Gwalior, Dharampura in Jabalpur, Simra in Katni and Shivsagar in Rewa.The Bhensola project has been proposed as a textile park and is expected to serve as an extension of the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, one of the country's largest integrated textile parks. The proposed facility aims to cover the entire textile value chain.The remaining industrial parks are expected to support sectors such as pharmaceuticals, automobiles, renewable energy equipment, semiconductors, information technology and IT-enabled services, creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Focus on Women Workers
The state government also highlighted initiatives aimed at improving safety, workplace facilities and overall working conditions for women employed in industrial areas.These measures include the establishment of day-care centres, CCTV-based security systems, healthcare facilities, essential utilities, canteens and hostel accommodations equipped with necessary amenities.The government said these initiatives are designed to encourage greater participation of women in the industrial workforce while ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
Industrial Corridors to Drive Investment
During the meeting, Madhya Pradesh also highlighted the role of industrial corridors and industrial nodes being developed across the state in strengthening industrial infrastructure.The government said that coordination between centrally supported projects and the state's investment-friendly policies would help accelerate the implementation of investment proposals.According to information,DPIIT Secretary and NICDIT Chairman Amardeep Singh Bhatia delivered the welcome address, while NICDIT CEO Rajat Kumar Saini gave a presentation on industrial corridors and related projects.
