Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday held a mega investment meet in Ahmedabad to showcase investment opportunities in the state and invite leading Gujarat-based industrial groups to expand their businesses in Madhya Pradesh.During his visit, Yadav held discussions with senior representatives of major industrial groups on investment opportunities across textiles, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and other sectors. He also invited Gujarat-based investors to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027.
At the investment meet, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Neeraj Mandloi highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industrial landscape, infrastructure, investor-friendly policies and sector-specific opportunities. Principal Secretary of the Science and Technology Department M. Selvendran presented the state’s technology ecosystem, startups, research and development capabilities and opportunities for high-technology investments, according to agency reports.
During the visit, Yadav also met Arvind Group Executive Director Kulin S Lalbhai and Vice Chairman Punit Lalbhai in Ahmedabad to discuss the company’s investment plans in Madhya Pradesh.Following the meeting, Yadav said the Arvind Group would establish units at three locations in the state — PM MITRA Park in Dhar, Barlai in Dewas and Betma. Production at the PM MITRA Park is expected to begin within a year.
“Today, I met the owners and associates of Arvind Limited in Ahmedabad. Beyond Gujarat, Arvind Group is establishing a major unit in Madhya Pradesh as well. At the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the foundation stone ceremony, production will begin by next year. The Arvind Group is setting up units at three locations which include the PM MITRA Park, Barlal in Dewas and al Betma, which will generate employment for the youth of our state,” Yadav said.

The Chief Minister said the group’s investments would strengthen economic ties between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh while generating employment and increasing revenue for the state.“Arvind Group works in many other sectors as well. We hope that because of the work of the Arvind Group, the relations between our two states will also become stronger. Moreover, this will generate significant capital for the state's development both through employment for our youth and through the tax revenue the government receives from these industries following the investment,” he added.
Discussions also covered the proposed investment at PM MITRA Park, employment generation, textile and apparel manufacturing, industrial water reuse and modern communication systems for Simhastha-2028.According to the official release, Arvind Group has proposed an investment of around Rs 1,200 crore at PM MITRA Park, for which 105 acres of land has been allotted. Yadav also invited the group to invest further in Madhya Pradesh and participate in GIS-2027.The Ahmedabad investment meet is part of Madhya Pradesh’s broader investor outreach programme and is aimed at attracting fresh investment, encouraging industrial expansion and creating employment opportunities ahead of the Global Investors Summit-2027.
