At least five people were killed and four others injured after an SUV rammed into a tree in Agra, police said on Friday.According to information,the victims, who were returning from the Kaila Devi Temple, included four members of a family. The deceased have been identified as Kamta Prasad (70), his son Devendra (35), daughter-in-law Seema (32), and his three-year-old granddaughter Aradhya. The driver of the vehicle, Rishi (20), also lost his life in the accident.
According to police, the family, hailing from Etawah district, was travelling in a Bolero after offering prayers at the temple in Rajasthan.DCP (East) Abhishek Agarwal said the accident occurred in the Chitrahat police station area of Agra district, where the SUV crashed into a tree, leading to multiple fatalities and serious injuries.The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, while the injured were referred to UP University of Medical Sciences in Etawah for treatment, police added.
