India bloc to hold nationwide protests over MPs' suspension

In the fourth meeting of the INDIA bloc in New Delh,opposition leaders discussed various issues,including seat-sharing, joint campaign blueprint and chalking out a strategy to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls on Tuesday.After the conclusion of the INDIA Alliance meeting, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge says "We have passed a resolution that suspension is undemocratic. We will all have to fight to save democracy and all of us are ready to do that.

Kharge added, “On Dec 22, all India protests will take place against the suspension of MPs.”.As per sources, during the meeting,Mamata Banerjee has proposed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge as the Opposition's INDIA bloc’s Prime Ministerial candidate, according to Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) chief Vaiko. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also backed the proposal.When asked about the same, Kharge said, "Let's win first, we will think about PM face later," as per sources.Leaders of 28 political parties of the INDIA Alliance were present here in the fourth meeting.
