Diplomatic achievement: Mayawati lauds adoption of BRICS Declaration

BSP Chief Mayawati has lauded the Delhi Declaration whole heartedly. She said in Lucknow on Sunday that amidst the severe economic crises, tensions, conflicts, and challenges arising from US actions against Ukraine and Iran, as well as the imposition of tariffs, the unanimous adoption of the 140-paragraph 'Delhi Declaration' by the BRICS nations is a remarkable diplomatic achievement reflecting great wisdom and insight. She added that there is unified support for an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution and the 1967 borders. India's perspective, highlighted by references to the Pahalgam incident and a commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms, has received appropriate support and appreciation.

PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti says, "I believe the New Delhi Declaration is a very positive step. It condemned the Pahalgam attack and addressed the events in West Asia—specifically the unilateral attacks and sanctions—as well as the situation in Gaza, issuing a strong statement. I feel that India is globally recognized for its commitment to human rights, humanity and democracy, and has always taken pride in its independent foreign policy and stance of non-alignment.'
