Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Friday for the second term. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Adityanath at Lucknow's Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and other central ministers. Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states also attended the event. Besides Adityanath, 52 Ministers including Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also took oath. Maurya and Pathak will serve as the Deputy Chief Ministers in the new government. The BJP-led NDA secured 274 seats out of 403, becoming the first party in over three decades to form a government for a second consecutive time in the state.Prime minister Narendra Modi greeted CM Yogi.

CCTVs and drones were deployed to manage crowds, while 7,000 personnel of the civil police and the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) as well as members of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) were manning the venue.
