When will Punjab's Education Minister resign? ask opposition

The resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as Education Minister over the NEET paper leak controversy has put the AAP-led Punjab government under pressure and has triggered a fresh political confrontation in Punjab, with Opposition parties demanding the resignation of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and Health Minister Balbir Singh over alleged paper leaks and other examination irregularities in the state. The BJP, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) argue that Pradhan's resignation has strengthened the case for fixing accountability in Punjab as well, where they claim multiple recruitment and board examination papers have been leaked in recent years. AAP has maintained that any instances of examination irregularities have been investigated and action taken wherever wrongdoing has been established. It has not, however, responded specifically to the Opposition's latest demand for ministerial resignations. Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, in a post said, "The entire country is today asking the Aam Aadmi Party, which does politics by placing guns on the shoulders of innocent children—when will Punjab's Education Minister resign? Just yesterday, Manish Sisodia ji was roaring false cries in the name of morality, and today he sits silently on Punjab's leak system. Why exactly?"

Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has demanded that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains also accept responsibility, alleging that papers for several examinations, including recruitment tests and the Class 12 English examination, were leaked during the AAP government's tenure. Warring also claimed that students protesting against paper leaks had faced police action and accused the government of failing to ensure accountability. He recalled earlier statements by senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia that ministers should resign if examination papers were leaked and said the same principle should now apply in Punjab.
Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has expressed her views on a social media post that called for education ministers of Punjab, Kerala, and Karnataka to resign following Dharmendra Pradhan’s exit. A user on X shared a post claiming that Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation had set a precedent and urged the education ministers of Punjab, Kerala, and Karnataka to step down. The user also tagged political leaders Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, asking them to stand by their statements. The user wrote, “Now that @dpradhanbjp has resigned, he has sent a precedent. It clears the way for Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka education ministers to resign. Cmon #RahulGandhi #ArvindKejriwal. Respect your own words.”
Actress Shweta Tiwari reacted to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. She took to her Instagram Stories and shared a video featuring CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke. In the clip, Dipke could be heard saying that after Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, they could seek the resignation of any Cabinet minister who underperformed. Resharing the same, the ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay' actress wrote, “Now, when is the Punjab Education Minister resigning? And when are you protesting there, Cockroach Janta Party?”
