In the United States, at least three people, including the suspect, have died and seven others are injured after a shooting at a high school in St. Louis, Missouri on Monday.The suspect, identified by police as a 19-year-old former student, exchanged gunfire with police and later succumbed to his injuries. His motive for the attack on the school of about 400 students is unclear. A woman died at hospital, and a teen girl was pronounced dead inside the school, both of gunshot wounds. Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said a teenage girl was shot and killed at the school and Jean Kirk Kuczka, 61, was shot and later died at the hospital from her injuries. The teen was later identified by family members as Alexandria Bell. She would’ve turned 16 on November 18.

The shooting was reported after 9 a.m. local time on Monday at Central Visual & Performing Arts High School. By 9:30 a.m., the entire area was blocked off by police, ambulances and a SWAT van. Students and staff streamed from the school with hands in the air. The police did not indicate how the shooter got inside the building, the report said.The shooter, who police later identified as 19-year-old Orlando Harris, was shot and killed by responding officers. Harris graduated from the school last year, according to police.
