In Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi Party on Thursday,January 27,2022, announced names of its 56 candidates for Assembly polls. Dara Singh Chauhan will contest from Ghosi. Both Hari Shankar Tiwari and his son Vinay Shankar Tiwari have been nominated by the party. Ex BSP leaders Ram Achal Rajbhar and Dr Lalji Verma will contest from their traditional seat. Leader of the opposition in the Assembly Ram Govind Chaudhary will contest from his traditional seat Bansdih in Ballia district. Former BSP MLA Puja Pal will contest from Chail seat in Kaushambi district.

Bahujan Samaj Party BSP on Thursday also announced its 53 candidates for UP Assembly polls. Party has fielded Kuldeep Narayan from Karahal seat against Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav. Party has changed its several candidates from different constituencies who had contested 2017 polls. Party had also announced six other candidates.The party has fielded Mohd. Rizwan from Kundarki seat in Moradabad, Brihmanand Sharma from Bareilly, Shalini Singh from Faridpur and Yousuf Khan from Nawabganj in Bareilly district.Apna Dal (Sonelal) has announced its three candidates. The party has fielded Saroj Kuril from Ghatampur seat in Kanpur district, Dr Surabhi from Kaimganj in Farrukhabad and Ram Nivas Verma from Nanpara seat in Bahraich district.
Meanwhile, Congress has released another list of 10 candidates for the ensuing Assembly Elections in Uttarakhand. Those included in the list are Harish Rawat who will contest from Lalkuwa Assembly seat, Mahender Pal Singh from Ramnagar seat, Yashpal Rana from Roorkee seat, while Anupama Rawat will be the party candidate from Hardwar Rural Assembly seat in the State.
