Tabu is one of the finest actresses in Hindi films. Has been acting from the age of 10, was acting in Bazaar film too in 1983.She is a spinster and cousin of Shabana Azmi. One gets blown over by her just one film Maqbool, a Hollywood level performance.
She primarily works in Hindi films, alongside Telugu and Tamil films.Regarded as one of the most accomplished actresses in India.
Tabu has often played troubled, complicated women in a range of characters, from fictional to literary, in both mainstream and independent cinema, as well as some American productions.
She is the recipient of numerous accolades, including two national awards. 
Government of India honoured her with Padma Shri in 2011.
