Gujarat is set to play a pivotal role in India's journey towards becoming a global semiconductor hub, with the upcoming "Gujarat SemiConnect 2025" scheduled from March 5-7, 2025. The event, organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Gujarat, SEMI, and the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), will take place at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar.
Building on the success of the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2024, the 2025 edition aims to accelerate India's self-reliance in semiconductor technology. The event will also host the 19th edition of the IESA Vision Summit and the Indian Semiconductors & Packaging Ecosystem Conference (ISPEC).
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has swiftly positioned itself as a key destination for semiconductor investments through strategic policies and strong infrastructure. The state is now focused on developing a resilient semiconductor ecosystem to ensure sustainable long-term growth. Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary, DST, emphasized Gujarat's commitment to becoming a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing. She highlighted the event's role in fostering collaborations and strengthening the local-to-global value chain.
According to information, the summit will bring together over 1,500 delegates, including top government officials, industry leaders, MSMEs, startups, and academia. Keynote sessions and panel discussions will explore emerging technologies, global collaborations, and strategies to boost India’s Semiconductor & Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
Dr. V Veerappan, Chairperson of IESA, and Ashok Chandak, President of IESA, reportedly highlighted the importance of this summit in fostering a resilient semiconductor ecosystem in India. The event will also feature international delegations, groundbreaking ceremonies, and MoU signings with global industry leaders.
With its theme "Silicon Gujarat: Powering India’s Semiconductor Revolution," Gujarat SemiConnect 2025 aims to attract global investments, enhance local industry capacity, and promote skill development. The event aligns with India's vision to become a global semiconductor powerhouse, cementing Gujarat's position as a key player in this strategic sector.
