Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated the mega musical multimedia show Namotsav, a cultural presentation depicting the life, ideas, work culture and unwavering commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The three-day event from December 28-30, 2025, is being held at Sanskardham, Ghuma, in Ahmedabad. Addressing the gathering, Shah said Namotsav is not merely a cultural programme but a reflection of India’s self-confidence, determination and core values. He said the show presents the journey of a leader who, in just 11 years, has instilled a strong belief among 140 crore Indians that India can become the world’s leading nation.Shah stated that this confidence has emerged from clear ideas, decisive action, meticulous planning and unwavering resolve, which are possible only when a leader dedicates an entire life to national service. He described Narendra Modi as an extraordinary leader who shapes destiny through determination, adding that while many leaders rise due to circumstances, Modi reached the highest office through integrity, transparency and a strong sense of national interest.

Highlighting the Prime Minister’s journey, Shah noted that Modi, who began life in extreme poverty, is today a global leader honoured with the highest civilian awards by 29 countries. He said this recognition belongs not to an individual alone but to all 140 crore Indians.Shah further said that over the last 11 years, 27 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, 81 crore have received free food security, more than 11 crore households have been provided gas connections, over 15 crore toilets have been constructed, more than 10 crore households now have access to clean drinking water, 56 crore people have been brought into the banking system, and over four crore families have been given permanent homes.Shah emphasised that the Prime Minister, who built nothing for himself, has built homes for crores of the poor, setting a powerful example of leadership driven by intent and policy clarity.Referring to Modi’s tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister from October 2001, Shah said the implementation of the Jyotigram Yojana ensured round-the-clock electricity in every village and transformed Gujarat into a model of development. He added that this work culture later became an inspiration for the entire country.Shah also said that landmark decisions such as the construction of the Ram Temple, abrogation of Article 370, firm action against terrorism, India emerging as the world’s fourth-largest economy and rapidly moving towards third place, and achieving global leadership in digital systems are outcomes of strong political will and a clear vision.Shah said Namotsav would inspire the younger generation by instilling values of patriotism, service and commitment among children, youth, social workers and political activists. Thanking the organisers of Sanskardham, Shah said the programme offers people from all sections of society an opportunity to experience not just an event, but a journey that reflects the benchmarks set for India’s future.
The event was attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, ICC Chairman Jay Shah, Ministers Rushikesh Patel, Rivabaa Jadeja and Darshna Vaghela, Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani, BJP city president Prerak Shah, Sanskardham chairman R K Shah, along with political leaders, social representatives and a large number of city residents.Renowned artist Sairam Dave, along with around 150 performers, participated in the musical multimedia presentation.
