Sensex up 138 pts, Nifty above 23,400 on F&O weekly expiry

The domestic share market traded higher on Thursday on F&O weekly expiry, amid buying seen in the media and financial names.At close, the Sensex was up 138.36 points or 0.19 percent at 74,902.59, and the Nifty was up 46.30 points or 0.20 percent at 23,477.80.
HDFC Life, Power Grid Corp, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Adani Enterprises, M&M.On the sectoral front, media, PSU Bank and Private Bank ended in the green, while metal, auto, pharma down 0.5% each.Broader indices remained under pressure, with Nifty midcap index falling 0.4 percent and smallcap index ended unchanged. 
Rupee Close:
On 10 Sep'26, the Indian rupee fell 34 paise closed at ₹95.44 against the US Dollar on Thursday, according to agency reports.
