During this week,in Maharashtra,Sharukh Khan’s son Aryan released from jail, and Bombay High Court rejects the plea of Anil Deshmukh to quash the summons against him.
Aryan released from jail in Mumbai
Aryan Khan was released from prison on Saturday, 26 days after he was arrested on October 3 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug case. He was sent to jail on October 8. After 25 days in prison, he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday but the detailed order, citing bail conditions was made available only on Friday. However, his release papers did not reach the jail in time and he had to spend one more night in prison. Aryan walked out of Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai at around 11 am. Fans gathered outside the prison as Aryan made a brief appearance before getting in a car. At Mannat, his residence also, fans had gathered to welcome him home .
Sameer Wankhede moves the Bombay High Court
Union minister and Republican Party of India (A) president Ramdas Athawale extended his support to Wankhede and said the NCB official is a Hindu Dalit and a follower of BR Ambedkar. Athawale also asked Nawab Malik to refrain from "conspiring" to defame the NCB officer and his family members. Athawale's remarks came after Wankhede's wife and father met him. He was talking to media in Mumbai on Sunday.
Meanwhile, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has moved the Bombay High Court on Thursday requesting a CBI probe into allegations of corruption levelled against him. Appearing for Sameer Wankhede , counsel Atul Nanda and Rameeza Hakeem submitted that ever since he had booked the drug case, certain highly placed political persons in the present Government started a personal vilification campaign against him and which was now being institutionalized by setting up of SIT by the government. Hearing the petition , the Bench comprising Justices Nitin Jamdar and S. V. Kotwal recorded the assurance given by the Mumbai Police that 3 day notice period would be given to Sameer Wankhede before arresting him the extortion case initiated by the State police against him.
Nationalist Congress Party and State Minister Nawab Malik on Friday asked that why the action was not initiated against Kashiff Khan, senior executive of Fashion TV, who had allegedly organized the rave party in Mumbai Cruise Ship on October 2.
Anil Deshmukh plea denied
The Bombay High Court on Friday rejected the plea from former Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh to quash the summons against him by the Enforcement Directorate. Commenting on the allegations of money laundering against. Deshmukh, the court said ,’ He has without any valid reason, refused to cooperate with the investigation by not attending the summonses issued by the authorities.” The Division Bench comprised Justices Nitin Jamdar S.V. Kotwal.
