He wanted to keep the image of ‘Bharat’ his character intact in his films as he claims !!
Amitabh Bachchan as a true professional did a very small role (only 3 small scenes and his character dies too) as he had committed to Manoj Kumar before the release of Zanzeer.
That is the level of super discipline and very high level of commitment of Amitabh Bachchan, which is keeping him as number one actor even at the age of 80 !!
