Amid all this, the musician had sought the help of superstar Dev Anand.
RD remembered the help rendered to his father by Dev saheb in his (SD) bad days earlier.
The only one who had stuck with him (SD) was Dev Anand.
While the film Guide was in the making, SD bacame sick, RD recollected that Dev saheb assured him not to worry, he would delay the film.
Four months later, when SD recovered, SD and RD finished all the Guide songs in five days.
Before shooting of the film 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' RD told Dev saheb, "Sir I don't have any ego problem. Don't leave me. If you leave me, everyone will leave me."
