Rajesh Khanna is the only one who never struggled.
He came first in Filmfare ‘best new comer‘ competition beating Vinod Khanna in 1966 and never looked back.
Those who won that competition were given 2 films as hero as per contract.

Rajesh Khanna had been given the two films Ittefaq and Akhri Khat.
Aradhana made him star overnight (1969).
He still has the record of giving 17 super successful films in 3 years; all superhits (1969 - 1972).
Some of these were: Aradhana, Saccha Jhoota, Safar, Do Raste, Bavarchi, Khamoshi, Mere Jeevan Saathi, Amar Prem, Aan Milo Sajna etc.
He acted totally in 180 films; from 1966 till 1988, mostly as hero.
He made hit pairing with Hema Malini (14), Sharmila Tagore ( 15), Mumtaz (10), Shabana Azmi (7), Smita Patil (6) etc.

Kishore sang more than 90 percent of his songs as playback singer.
Hats off to India’s first superstar.Rajesh Khanna was born on Dec 29, 1942.
He reached at the heights where even Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t.
