Rajasthan: Night time blackout enforced in border districts

The Rajasthan government has initiated a series of measures amid tensions at Indo-Pak border following Pakistan’s attempted attack at different locations in the state. These include Blackout in border districts, suspension of leaves for government employees and closure of schools. As per report,the District Administrations in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Phalodi and Sri Ganganagar have enforced a nightly blackout from 9 PM to 4 AM, which will continue till further notice. Residents in these areas have been instructed to remain indoors, turn off lights, and to avoid any outdoor movements during the blackout period. SDRF teams have also been deployed in Border areas to deal with any emergency situation. Meanwhile, the home department has issued emergency response guidelines to all districts. 
Heavy security was deployed at the vital installations in Delhi on Friday, including government buildings and areas with high footfalls, as tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the Pakistani military targeted several border areas using drones and missiles on Thursday night. A senior police officer said all vital installations, including government buildings, sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, courts, and foreign embassies are being safeguarded by deploying additional forces, including paramilitary personnel.Police also strengthened vigil in areas with high footfalls, including markets, railway stations, malls, parks and Metro stations, the officer said.
he Kerala government has opened control rooms at the Secretariat and NORKA department here to provide assistance and information to Keralites and students from the southern state living in the areas bordering Pakistan.The control rooms were opened on the directions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in view of the tense situation prevailing in the border states, a statement issued by his office said. It also said that "there is no need to be worried" at the moment.
The Punjab government on Friday cancelled the leave taken by Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers across the state in view of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan. Punjab Police has already cancelled the leave of its personnel. "In view of the prevailing situation and preparedness for the emergency response system, it has been decided that no officer shall proceed on any kind of leave or leave their station of posting without explicit approval of the Chief Secretary Punjab. All the leaves approved so far stand cancelled," said a letter issued by Punjab, secretary personnel, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra.
the Bilaspur district administration in Himachal Pradesh on Friday issued an advisory prioritising the safety and security of citizens.In the advisory, District Magistrate Rahul Kumar appealed to the residents to ensure a complete blackout in their respective areas to minimise risks in the event of a potential aerial attack.Bilaspur shares a boundary with Punjab, a border state that has been put on high alert following the escalating tensions with Pakistan.
