Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday said no one should underestimate the party as it is ideologically driven and is the only party which can bring down the BJP, which he alleged is fascist. Addressing a press conference in Jaipur on the completion of 100 days of the party's Bharat Jodo Yatra, he welcomed anyone wanting to leave the party saying the Congress does not need those who cannot fight the BJP and succumb to pressures because they may be corrupt. "A lot of people have this fantasy that the Congress party is finished. But I can say that the Congress party can never be finished and mark my words the BJP is going to be taken down by the Congress party," he told reporters.

Speaking about the Congress's win in the Himachal Pradesh election, Rahul Gandhi said, "BJP used its full organisational capability, but we (Congress) beat them." "And frankly, in Gujarat, if AAP had not been put up as a proxy and had it not been used to target the Congress party, we would probably beat the BJP there as well," he added. Gandhi also said that China is preparing for a full fledged war from both Ladakh and Arunachal sides and the BJP government is sleeping.
Commenting on this, BJP's Rajyavardhan Rathore said Rahul Gandhi is so close to China that he knows what they will be doing next. Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received a donation of Rs135 crore from the Communist Party of China, the BJP leader said. Criticising Rahul Gandhi's comment on Vijay Diwas, BJP's Amit Malviya said Rahul Gandhi continues to doubt the valour of the Indian soldiers
