Public Relations and Media Professionals of India and Russia to strengthen professional bonds and work to strengthen Relations between the two countries. At a conference , organised by the PRSI,in collaboration with Russian Association for Communication Consultancies (AKOC) at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies in Delhi, Dr. Ajit Pathak, National President PRSI emphasized on the significance of this collaboration and Indo-Russian strategic partnerships ; stressing on the role of Public Relations and Media he said that India believes in Vasudhaiva Katumbakam, which means that the whole world is one family." He mentioned that this is the first such live conference on Public Relations held between India and Russia. Together, both will work for Knowledge sharing, skill development and promoting best practices and Research in Public Relations.There are common issues before the Public Relations and media industry of both the countries. Trust , ethics, values, impact of technology have set new challenges before the communication practitioners. Ever increasing Aspirations of stakeholders and emerging opportunities to spread the wings are also wanting effective solutions from the Public Relations, said Dr Pathak.
Andrey Lapshov, Chairman of AKOC, Lapshov spoke about the Memorandum of Understanding signed between PRSI and AKOC. "Effective professional communications are essential for building constructive and sustainable relationships between people and states, social institutions, and communities," he said.
The AKOS is an expert platform dedicated to promote communications and PR in Russia.The Public Relations Society of India is all-India apex organization of India's Public Relations and communication professionals from all over the country serving the profession and the nation for past 66 years having membership from private and public sectors, Government, N G O s , PR consultants, advertising and the mass c o m m u n i c a t i o n academia.
The event was conducted by Prof (Dr) Charu Lata Singh, Dean Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication & Chairperson, PRSI Delhi Chapter. The delegation from Russia attended virtually.
