In Uttar Pradesh, BSP Supremo Mayawati has given ticket to an indipendent MLA . Aman Mani Tripathi independent sitting MLA and son of jailed for life ex minister Amar Mani Tripathi will be BSP nominee from Nautanawa seat in Maharajganj district. He has joined the BSP. His father has been Minister in BSP government. Aman Mani Tripathi is currently on bail in connection of his wife murder case.
As per reports, Apna Dal Kamera will fight the state assembly election with the Samajwadi Party. After a meeting with Akhilesh Yadav, the party has reportedly agreed to accept the alloted seats. Now Pallavi Patel will fight election against Keshay Prasad Maurya, Dy CM in the Yogi government, from Sirathu constituency in Kaushambi district. Pallavi is a younger sister of union minister Anupriya Patel.
Meanwhile, only few hours are left for campaigning for the first phase of elections.Campaigning ends Tuesday evening. Political parties are making all efforts to woo the voters. Many senior BJP leaders and star campaigners of the party held door to door poll campaigns and addressed small rallies at different parts of the state. Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh campaigned for party candidates in Bulandshahar and Shahjahanpur districts while another BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani campaigned for party candidates in Noida and Agra districts. .Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday addressed public rally in Saharanpur and said that if his party comes into power he will implement social security schemes for skilled labourers. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will campaign for Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh. RLD chief Jayant Choudhary also campaigned in Meerut district.
