One more Kannada film acress Sanjjana arrested

Yet another Kannada film celebrity Sanjana Galrani was arrested by CCB police on Tuesday morning.in Bangaluru. She has been taken to CCB Hqrs for questioning. Her parents also rounded up for investigation. It is expected that many politicians names may come out during the investigation. Police have seized her mobile phone and laptop. They are also looking for her associatesThe questioning of the actor comes days after the arrest of another Kannada actress, Ragini Dwivedi, on drug peddling charges.

Sanjjanaa Galrani was under the radar of the crime branch ever since her friend Rahul, a realtor, was charged in connection with the drug case, officials said. Six people have been arrested in the drugs case so far. The police questioned Ms Galrani based on the interrogation of a person named Nayaz on Monday.

According to police, one police party  had gone to Delhi and arrested the reported main accused Viren Khanna. In the search at Viren Khanna's house, along with other things, one fake 'police' uniform was found with belt, cap, shoes and no stars. A couple of weeks ago, Kannada filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh, brother of activist-journalist Gauri Lankesh, had appeared before the crime branch and shared information about the alleged use of drugs in the Kannada film industry.
