In UP, elections for the posts of Pramukh of Kshetra Panchayats will be held on July 10,2021. State Election Commissioner issued notification on Monday in this regard. As per schedule issued by the Commission Nomination of papers will be held on July 8 and scrutiny of papers will be held on same day. July 9 is scheduled for withdrawal of papers. 821 out 822 kshetra panchayats will go for poll. Election will not be held for Mujehana kshetra Panchayat in Gonda district due to court order. Election for Chairman of Zila Panchayats was held on July 3,2021. Ruling BJP has bagged 67 seats out 75. Opposition Samajwadi Party has accused the BJP for misuse of police and administration to win the Zila Panchayat elections.
