Nineteen newly elected Rajya Sabha members take oath

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan on Monday administered the oath to nineteen newly elected members of the Upper house. Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale and senior NCP-SCP leader Sharadchandra Pawar took an oath as members of the Rajya Sabha. Both leaders are re-elected to the house from Maharashtra. Dr Jyoti Nagnath Waghmare and Ramrao Sakharam Wadkute also took an oath. Meanwhile,, including Christopher Manickam, L K Sudhish, Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, and Tiruchi Siva, also took the oath of the Upper House. The Vice-President also administered an oath to Babul Supriya Baral, Rukmini Mallik, Dr Menaka Guruswamy and Rajeev Kumar from West Bengal. Further, three members from Odisha, including Santrupt Mishra, Manmohan Samal and Dilip Kumar Ray, took the oath.
